Two Videos

Friday, February 26th, 2010

I’ve made captures of two recent videos. The first is of Sarah on The Afternoon Show which is on the Irish channel RTE. She talks about her career up to now, her nomination for the IFTA and the fact that she’s taking a year off to act. It just shows what a lovely, bubbley personality Sarah has – so I went a bit overboard on the captures.

Secondly is another video put up by the IFTA with Sarah accepting her award for Best Supporting Actress. You can view the video here, she seems genuinely thrilled to recieve it.

IFTA Launch Party and New Role?

Sunday, January 24th, 2010

A couple of days ago Sarah attended the IFTA Launch Party and was photographed along with her rivals for the Best Supporting Actress for Television.

Sarah also has done an interview with the Irish Herald where she talks about her private life and the fun times she had on the Tudors set. Though the final line gives a clue to a new role in store for her:
The year ahead is also going to be a busy one for young Sarah, as she will be making a new movie with Mary Harren, the director of American Psycho.
I’ll be investigating that later on.

The only project for Mary Harron, director of American Psycho, is The Moth Diaries, based on the YA novel of the same name (see here) – Lily Cole has been linked to the project previously. So that could be the project (as it’s in her age range) though more when i can find it! :)

Irish Film and Television Awards

Tuesday, January 12th, 2010

The time has come again for the 7th Irish Film and Television Awards, last year Sarah was nominated for Actress in a Supporting Role – Film (Spiderwick Chronicles) and Rising Star Award, though both were won by fellow actors Saoirse Ronan and Michael Fassbender respectfully.

This year she’s been nominated for Actress in a Supporting Role – Television for her performance as Princess Mary in the Tudors. From alot of comments I’ve heard and read over the past year (and my own opinion) this is a well deserved feat – hopefully she’ll be successful this year!
